Merry Christmas!
When you read this post, my friend has opened the 4th and last present in her advent kalendere. That means a present at any time of the day that she chooses, and presents again in the evening with her family (yes here in Denmark we celebrate Christmas on the eve of the 24th). I wonder if she seams more gifted next time I see her?!
The fourth present required one specific thing from the box, it had to have some height in order to contain what I had chosen for this the fourth sunday in advent. So I had to look through my designs, and I have used this design before and really like it. And even though I had to make the design a bit bigger, it wasn’t really that much before it fit my purpose.

I cut the box out of a piece of patterned cardstock that was in my stash. When it was put together I used a gold ink pad to give the edges some patina. As you can see in the photo, there are holes to put a ribbon through, this gathers the box – and makes it easy to open.

When I had to make the tag it was the patterned paper more that anything else that inspired me. And the green color made me think of poinsettias, so it was great
that I had already cut a design with small poinsettias on my Silhouette, so most of the work was already done.

In december two of my friends, who are men, have their birthday so I had to make some masculine cards. For the first card in the beginning of december, I used a
stencil that you can make 3d blocks with and by making the card in blue shades I figured that it was masculine enough for the recipient.
The next birthday in december was in the week leading up to Christmas and here I went with one of my new stamps from the present calender from my friend. Very fitting
that the recipient of the card is married to the friend who made this calender for me. I went with embossing in the colors black, silver, gold and bronze. I used white
cardstock so to give it some color I used my Distress inks in Pumice stone and on the edges Vintage photo and Black soot. I then stamped a Happy Birthday in a black
rainbow embossing powder on vellum, and the final touch was a silver tread in one side of the card.

I have been making other projects during the month of december, that I haven’t posted yet. Among other things I have been making a present to some of my friends’ daughter K.,
and I have documented this project with pictures for my next post after Christmas (or in the beginning of January as the latest). This gives you something to look forward to.
